Please pardon our appearance as we make updates to our website. We hope to bring a better website experience for our members in the near future!
As a constituent organization of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), the Maryland Academy of PAs (MdAPA), is allotted the opportunity to represent PAs in our state, in the AAPA House of Delegates (HOD).
As mentioned on the AAPA website, the House of Delegates, "has sole authority on behalf of AAPA to enact policies establishing the collective values, philosophies, and principles of the PA profession."
The number of delegates allowed to represent a constituent organization is determined by the AAPA, based ion the number of AAPA fellow memberships held by that state. The Maryland Academy has been allotted five delegate seats by AAPA. All delegates in the AAPA HOD have voting privileges regarding AAPA HOD matters. However, general members of AAPA, who are not delegates, can provide testimony during reference committee hearings.
Meet our delegates below! If there is an issue you would like to be addressed by the AAPA HOD, please contact our delegates at the following email: delegates@mdapa.org.
For more information about the AAPA House of Delegates, look to our 'HOD Resource' section at the bottom of this page.
